Linguine with Shrimp & Creamy Tomato Sauce
Another beach weekend featuring a seafood pasta dish! This one turned out absolutely delicious. The shrimp in the creamy tomato sauce was a mouthwatering combination!
Our seafood pasta dishes have been getting so much love from our followers, so we are once again very excited to be sharing this recipe with everyone. The Saturday that we made this dish was a beautiful day at the beach. We spent the day relaxing, cooking good foods, & sipping cocktails. Nothing can beat Saturday’s spent at the beach in the summer time, they really are just the best. a. Ingredients:
3 tbsp of olive oil
1 pound of shrimp; peeled and deveined
1 garlic clove; minced
¼ tsp of dried oregano
½ cup of sweet vermouth
28 oz can of diced tomatoes
1 cup of heavy cream
Juice of ½ a lemon
Salt and pepper to taste
1 pound of linguine
b. Directions:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet; add the shrimp, garlic, and oregano then sprinkle with salt and pepper turning once
Stir in the vermouth and the tomatoes; add cream and lemon juice then let simmer until sauce has thickened
Cook the linguine according to package directions; drain reserving 1 cup of cooking water
Add the pasta to the skillet; add the cooking water as needed until you’ve gotten a good consistency
