Fluke Crudo with Mango Avocado Salsa

Fluke Crudo with Mango Avocado Salsa

Fluke Crudo with Mango Avocado Salsa. We’re bringing out alllll the best seafood recipes this weekend because there’s only a few summer weekends left. We are definitely sad about it but we are pretty excited about these seafood recipes. Today we’re having a fluke crudo marinated in olive oil and lime juice topped with the classic salsa of the summer…mango avocado salsa. It’s citrusy, a little spicy, and definitely the perfect way to combine sweet and savory. And the only way to serve this tropical plate is a with a margarita !! Cheers and happy Saturday !!

Ok guys it’s Saturday and you know I love my summer Saturday’s. And today I am super excited about this fluke recipe that we are trying ! Every Saturday starts out with a trip to the farmers market. We get the freshest seafood I have ever tasted, and every week we try to make something different with it. Sometimes it’s tuna, sometimes it’s salmon, but today we are here for the fluke. We got enough pieces of fluke so that we could make it 2 different ways. We are doing some of it with clarified butter and olive oil and putting it on the grill. The rest we are using for this super fresh Crudo.

I have never tried fluke raw before, but like I said the farmers market has the freshest fish I have ever tasted, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for a Crudo. I marinated the fluke in a lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Simple, but super good. Then I topped it with my classic. I am not at all sorry for the amount of recipes we have shared this summer with mango salsa. Seriously, don’t knock it until you try it. It is SO SO good paired with literally any type of fish. And it takes the prettiest photos ever. The pop of color from the mango is just super pretty.

Anyway, I am so excited for today. After the farmers market I went to the gym and came home to prepare the Crudo and make some margs. Because it’s not a summer Saturday without margs. Then we went to the beach and me, my dad, and my brother went to the beach bar for some frozen cocktails. After the beach we grilled clams and shrimp from the farmers market for appetizers. We opened a bottle of Vueve to celebrate the one year anniversary of selling our condo at the shore which was the first step in the process of getting the new beautiful house that we are so grateful to have today.

After the appetizers and happy hour toast, we grilled our fish and also some burgers and hot dogs for dinner. The Crudo was AMAZING. And the mango salsa on top was to die for as always. After dinner I met up with some friends and went to the bar. It was the perfect summer Saturday. I am still so sad to see them going so quick. But I will catch you all next weekend to update you on another summer Saturday…the final ones of the summer.

Cheers to another amazing summer beach weekend !!
