Caesar Salad Pizza

Caesar Salad Pizza

Caesar Salad Pizza with Burrata. Happy pizza Friday guys !! This Caesar salad pizza is super cheesy with mozzarella, Burrata, and Parmesan. Topped with Caesar salad and fresh cracked black pepper. Cheers to pizza Friday…we know it’s been a while ;) !!

So today is super exciting, for two reasons. 1) we are finally bringing back pizza Friday after quite a long break from grilling up pizzas. And 2) it is officially our first pizza Friday at the new shore house. I cannot even describe how amazing the vibes are today. It is basically the perfect day for grilling up pizzas. The sun is shining and it’s super warm and I finally got a good tan today ;) !!

So we wanted to do a fun and summery pizza for our first time doing pizza Friday at the beach. What better way than a salad and burrata pizza?! BUT a Caesar salad and burrata pizza?! Oh yes. this one is super delicious. And did I mention there’s also mozzarella and parmesan?! Because that also makes this a three cheese pizza.

It’s super cheesy and refreshing with all that creamy caesar salad on top. It turned out perfect for the first beachy pizza night. And of course there were some cocktails. We did some margs to make for the perfect Pizza Friday. Cheers to an amazing weekend guys !!

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)

  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese; shredded

  • 8 ounces burrata

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 garlic cloves; minced

  • 3 - 4 anchovy filets; finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire

  • 1/2 teaspoon tabasco

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • juice of 1 lemon

  • 2 - 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese

  • 1 large head romaine lettuce; chopped

  • fresh shaved parmesan for topping

Directions

  1. Roll out the pizza dough. Transfer the dough to the grilling pan spraying the pan first with olive oil.

  2. Place grill pan on medium-high grill. Grill until lightly browned (this should take about 5 minutes but keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn). Flip the dough and top with the mozzarella and burrata. Close grill and cook for another 4 - 5 minutes or until crust is charred and cheese has melted.

  3. Meanwhile make the salad dressing. In a medium bowl, whisk the olive oil, garlic, anchovies, dijon mustard, Worcestershire, and tabasco. Stir in the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and parmesan cheese. In another large bowl, toss the romaine with the dressing.

  4. Transfer the pizza to a serving board, top with caesar salad and shaved parmesan cheese.
