Homemade Squid Ink Spaghetti with Lemon Brown Butter & Calamari
Homemade Squid Ink Spaghetti in a Lemon Brown Butter & Calamari Sauce! We used our favorite Hello Cucina pasta maker and Wegmans fresh calamari to perfect this delicious Sunday pasta dish! We had so much fun making these squid ink homemades (if you’re Italian you get “homemades” lol) so a special thank you to Hello Cucina !!
Spooky season just passed, and it inspired us to try making a homemade squid ink spaghetti. The squid ink that is used in the dough is actually pretty easy to find. We ordered it right off of Amazon and received it a day later! You can also find this item in specialty Italian Market stores! But it is really as simple as adding this ingredient to the dough, and there you have it, the perfect homemade squid ink spaghetti!
Squid ink pasta makes things more fun! It doesn’t necessarily taste any different than your typical pasta, but it’s fun to have with a seafood sauce, and of course it makes for a fun photo! The calamari is a perfect pair with the squid ink pasta, and the lemon brown butter well you can’t go wrong!
