Creamy Asparagus Fettuccine
Creamy Asparagus Fettuccine in a blush sauce loaded with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil! This is the ultimate comfort food to make it through this week and the best part is it’s super simple to make!
We have been making this recipe for a long time. It is simple, but it is so good. My dad loves this pasta so much. And the reason is because it really is a simple dish. Creamy blush sauce is delicious, and the asparagus is the perfect pair. That is what makes it such a great dish. This simplicity is sometime all you need in a pasta dish to perfect it.
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons of butter
1 bunch of asparagus chopped into 1 inch pieces
Salt and pepper
2 cups of marinara sauce
1 cup of heavy cream
1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil leaves
1 pound of fettuccine
Directions:
In a large skillet heat the butter, add the asparagus and cook 5 minutes. Add the marinara and cook another 5 minutes. Add cream and combine, simmer 3-5 minutes.
Cook pasta, drain, and add to skillet. Add cheese and combine. Adjust seasonings and serve topped with additional cheese and fresh basil leaves
