Grilled Filet Mignon Sliders
Sharing a good summer slider recipe with you guys because grilling season is here and who doesn't love grilled filet?! These sliders are super simple and they really don’t disappoint! They are also a good meal to make when having company over, we once made them for a small St. Patty’s Day party and our guests just loved them!
The recipe is very easy, you simply sauté the onions(which are optional, we prefer without) and the mushrooms separately. Then grill the filets and assemble the sliders. The Boursin cheese really gives them an amazing flavor, and we highly recommend giving these a try!
a. Ingredients:
Four 6 oz filet mignon
1 pound of mushrooms; sliced
1 package of Boursin cheese
1 medium sautéed onion (optional)
1 package of 4 brioche buns
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp of olive oil
6 tbsp of butter
b. Directions:
Marinate the filets in olive oil, salt, and fresh cracked pepper; meanwhile sauté the onions in 2 tbsp of butter over low heat until softened and set aside
Sauté the mushrooms in ¼ cup of butter adding salt and pepper to taste until the liquid has evaporated from the mushrooms
Grill your steaks for approximately 4 minutes on each side for medium rare; towards the end of cooking toast the buns on the upper rack for approximately 1 minute
Slice the filets down about a ¼ of an inch thick
Assembly for the sliders: coat the top and bottom of the buns with the Boursin cheese, add the steak, onions, and mushrooms then serve
