Cheesy Pepperoni Heart Pizza
Cheesy Pepperoni Heart Pizza. National Pizza Day and Valentine’s Day all in the same week?! Now that has my heart. And who doesn’t love an extra cheesy, super saucy pepperoni basil pizza?! Especially one in the shape of a heart !! Happy pizza day and almost Valentine’s Day guys !!
Ok so you guys know we are super into our homemade pizzas. They are pretty much a weekly creation in our house. So obviously for National Pizza Day we had to make a fun Valentine’s Day themed pizza because basically two holidays in one week is calls for celebration.
All you need is a heart shaped pizza pan, some pizza dough, and obviously all the perfect toppings. This pizza is simple with the toppings, but simple is just that good sometimes. Pepperoni, basil, extra cheesy?! We are all in for National Pizza Day and Valentine’s Day !!
Who’s already planning their valentine’s menus for this weekend?!
Ingredients
1 small pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
1/2 cup pizza sauce (homemade or store-bought)
10 ounces mozzarella cheese; shredded
pepperoni; thinly sliced
fresh basil
fresh oregano
Directions
Oil the dough and spread it out on a pizza pan. Prick the rolled out dough with a fork to prevent air bubbles.
Transfer to the bottom rack of a 450 degree oven for about 10 minutes, watching not to burn. Remove from oven, and top with sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. Return to oven. Remove when cheese is melted and crust is crisp.
Serve topped with fresh basil and oregano.
