Cinnamon Bourbon Old Fashion with Caramelized Oranges
Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Is your bar stashed and ready to go?! Because let’s be honest, you can’t have thanksgiving without the festive cocktails. This fall we have been super into making Old Fashions, and my brother makes a pretty tasty one! But for thanksgiving lets put a twist on it!
So here you have it, an Old Fashion filled with lots on cinnamon syrup, fresh orange juice, caramelized oranges (which if you haven't tried before you totally need to, they really bring this drink to a whole new leave, and finally a rosemary garnish.
I mean, not only is this drink gorgeous looking, its delicious so every bourbon lover is sure to love it! You’ve got to love a drink that tastes just as good as it looks!
Ingredients:
1-2 ounces of maple syrup
cinnamon sticks
1 thin orange slice
1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
1 dash of orange bitters
1/4 cup of fresh orange juice
2 ounces of bourbon
To caramelize the oranges, sprinkle one side with the granulated sugar. Heat a small skillet and place the oranges sugar side down for 2 to 3 minutes until they have browned. Remove from skillet and let them cool.
