New England Late Summer Clam Bake
New England Late Summer Clam Bake. It might be September but it’s never too late for a New England style clam bake. And tonight we’ve got a little bit of everything. Lobster, crab, shrimp, clams, potatoes, and corn. Allll grilled up to perfection, sprinkled with our favorite Williams Sonoma Potlatch seasoning, and served with plenty of sauces, grilled bread, and Summer in a Bottle wine. We have been waiting almost a year for a beachside clam bake and here you have it…cheers !!
GUYS !! We have finally done it. A summer clam bake at the new beach house. Last summer I dreamed about doing a clam bake at the beach with a grill on the deck and the ocean waves in the background and the music playing and everything literally just feeling so perfect. Tonight that dream has finally come true.
Last summer we did a few clam bakes at home, but we could never grill at our condo at the shore and it was too small and too confined to do something as elaborate as this. I had no idea that we would have this new beach house a year later, and I have been so incredibly grateful for it. And I am also so grateful for the amazing summer we just had in this new house.
Now we are ending the summer with one of my most dreamed about beach dinners that we can finally host. A summer New England style clam bake. We always change up our clam bakes to include different kinds of shellfish. Tonight’s clam bake is featuring lobster tails, dungeonous crab meat, grilled shrimp, grilled clams, roasted potatoes, and grilled corn. A little bit of everything !!
Today was another gorgeous day at the beach. It totally has that September look and feel at this point, but the weather has been beautiful the last two days, so have really been enjoying the weekend. It was the perfect night for a clam bake with this weather. We had margs and wine to pair with all the delicious seafood. And I really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect clam bake. It was exactly how I envisioned it !!
I've said it before and I will say it again…summer forever, am I right ?!
