Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce

Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce

Sunday night dinners are all about pasta in our house. After all it is the Italian way to go on a Sunday! This dish is a classic Sunday night dinner in our house. It is super simple and everyone loves it.

We made this dish last Sunday after coming back from a weekend at the beach. It was the perfect way to end the weekend and serve another great Sunday Italian meal. We highly recommend giving this pasta dish a try because it is such a crowd pleaser and so so simple to make. If you are coming back from a weekend at the shore and need an easy Sunday dinner to make this needs to be your go-to!

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup of butter

  • ⅔ cup of vodka

  • 1 pint of homemade or store-bought marinara sauce

  • ½ pint of heavy cream

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 pound of rigatoni pasta

Directions:

  1. In a medium sauce-pan, melt the butter over medium heat; pour in the vodka, raise the heat, and ignite the vodka to burn off the alcohol

  2. When the flames die down, add the marinara sauce and cook for 3 minutes; add the heavy cream, salt, and pepper then simmer for another 5-8 minutes; set aside

  3. Cook the pasta according to package directions; combine the sauce and pasta together then serve
